The British Association of Flower Essence Producers
The British Association of Flower Essence Producers (BAFEP) is the professional trade association for producers of Bach Flower Remedies, Flower Essences, Gem & Crystal Essences and other vibrational essences.
Created in 2001 to support and represent the interests of essence producers, BAFEP has grown into an international organisation whose members span the United Kingdom, Europe and many other parts of the world. Today, BAFEP supports a diverse community of essence makers while helping to maintain the highest standards of quality, integrity and professionalism within the essence field.
Our members include producers of traditional Bach Flower Remedies made according to the original methods of Dr Edward Bach, alongside producers of flower, plant, tree, environmental, gem, crystal and other vibrational essence ranges. All members are committed to meeting recognised standards of production, labelling and marketing, and to working in a way that honours both the essence-making tradition and the people who use essences today.
BAFEP acts as a central source of information and guidance for producers, helping members navigate the evolving regulatory and legislative landscape surrounding essence products. We work to ensure that producers understand and comply with relevant requirements relating to production standards, labelling, advertising and consumer information.
As a trade association, BAFEP also represents the interests of essence producers in discussions with government bodies and other organisations where issues affecting the essence community arise.
Alongside supporting producers, BAFEP provides a valuable public resource through its directory of member producers, educational information, research resources and guidance about flower and vibrational essences. Our aim is to help promote understanding, confidence and good practice throughout the essence community.
