BAFEP Membership Options
After many years of only accepting members who make their own essences we have decided to welcome members who make blends from other people’s essences provided you have written permission from the maker (or makers).
Besides meaning that this will increase the size and professional weight of our organisation, it will ensure that our members who are producers of essence blends have the correct information on their labels and literature as well as following legally correct bottling guidelines, which is better for us all as a community and the consumer.
We do also accept members based outside of the UK who sell essences inside and outside of the UK but expect them to research themselves what the legally correct labelling information is for the countries they are selling in.
We do require that, when filling out your page in the members area, once your application has been approved, that you clearly state whether you make your own ‘mother essences’ or make blends from other people’s essences (and who makes those essences for you).
Annual membership rates are as follows:
Large business (over 150K turnover) : £250-£500 pa
Medium sized business (under 150K turnover): £100 – £250 pa
Small business (under 60K turnover): £50 – £100 pa
Very Small /New business (under 5K turnover) – £30 pa
You will be asked which rate applies to you once your membership has been approved.
